Aims & Scope

TransMed is an open access, peer-reviewed journal. The aim of TransMed is to serve the multidisciplinary community of biomedical engineering. Each quarterly issue of TransMed presents basic, clinical, and engineering research articles, reviews, highlights, editorials, correspondences and short communications in the interdisciplinary field of nanotechnology, biology, medicine and engineering, as well as strategies for disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and assessment.

What we publish

Research articles — full-length, cutting-edge research in biomedicine and engineering.
Reviews — summaries of recent insights in areas of broad interest within the scope of the journal.
Short communications — concise, rapid reports of important new findings.
Correspondence — brief reviews, findings and commentaries in translational medicine.
Protocols — procedural protocols for the design and implementation of experiments or studies.
Case reports and practice guidelines.

TransMed is fully open access: every article is immediately and permanently free to access by everyone. Publication is funded by an Article Publishing Charge (APC) payable by the authors, their institution or their funders — and all APCs for articles submitted before 30 March 2029 are fully waived.
